Daveigh Elizabeth Chase (born July 24, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is an American actress, singer and voice actress.


Her birth name is Daveigh Elizabeth Schwallier. She is the daughter of John and Cathy Schwallier Chase. At the age of eight, she began her professional acting career. Its most important leading roles she was in Donnie Darko (2001) as Samantha Darko, In The Ring (2002) as Samara Morgan, and in the television series Oliver Beene (2003-2004) as Joyce.

Daveigh Chase said in Spirited Away (2001), the American translation by Chihiro and Lilo & Stitch, the original voice of Lilo Pelekai, as in the television series Lilo & Stitch (2003-2006). Other films which have played a part Daveigh including AI – Artificial Intelligence (2001) as a child singer and rats – they are everywhere! (2002) as Amy Costello.

The film Spirited Away with her original voice won the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. At the MTV Movie Awards, where she was honored in 2003 as Best Villain for her role as Samara Morgan. Currently she appears in the HBO drama series Big Love as Rhonda Volmer and will soon take over the lead role in the sequel to Donnie Darko.

Daveigh Chase is also active as a singer.
