Jennifer Leann Carpenter (Louisville, Ky., December 7, 1979), film actress from America.

Carpenter was born in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Later he studied at the conservatory “Walden Theatre” in Louisville and later in the Juilliard School in New York. Even before graduation, was in the cast of Broadway in the revival of “witches of Salem” by Arthur Miller, starring Liam Neeson and Laura Linney. Jennifer Carpenter currently plays the role of Deborah Morgan in the Showtime television series Dexter which premiered on October 1, 2006.

In 2006 he was awarded the MTV Movie Award for “Best performance of terror” for his role in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. He also received a “Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award”.

From 2007 comes with his “brother” in the series Dexter, Michael C. Hall.
